The walls at Max Academy EDGE are now almost fully sanded and painted a pristine, energizing white. Crown molding is lining the ceilings, and the new lighting is going up—some of it even Bluetooth-enabled for ultimate flexibility and vibe control. The transformation is real, and it's happening fast!
We’re preparing to lay down the finishing touches on the flooring, and our much-anticipated training mats and heavy bags are en route for installation. Soon, we’ll be assembling nearly fifty cabinets to keep our space organized, clean, and functional for both members and instructors.
Yes—it’s still dusty. It’s still loud. It’s still a little messy.
But beneath the chaos, something truly amazing is emerging.

We’re excited to share that construction on Max Academy EDGE is moving along beautifully—and it looks like we’re right on track for our grand opening!
Walking through the space, you can already feel the energy that’s starting to build. The vision we’ve had for EDGE—an athletic, high-energy dojo where both kids and adults can grow stronger, more confident, and more empowered—is coming to life right in front of us. From the sleek heavy bags to the lighting, every detail is being carefully designed to reflect the EDGE experience: modern, motivating, and built for transformation. We can’t wait to open the doors and welcome you in!
For now, we just wanted to say thank you. The support, encouragement, and buzz from our Max Academy community has been incredible. We truly couldn’t do this without you.

This photo is of our second Max Academy location- EDGE in Antioch, still under construction, still purple and green instead of black and white. Dust and paint everywhere. boxes and equipment scattered. Plastic covering the lights and windows. Wires hanging. It’s not clean, it’s not polished, and it’s definitely not ready, but to me—it’s beautiful, because this is the part most people don’t see. The in-between. The uncomfortable, messy middle that has to happen before something becomes great.
Whether you’re building a business, learning martial arts, or growing as a person, the truth is the same: sometimes things have to get worse before they get better! You have to tear out the old before you can build something strong. You have to unlearn before you can master. You have to fall down—over and over—before you can move with power and confidence.
The dojo in this photo? It doesn’t look like much now. But we know what it’s going to become: a place where members will grow, sweat, fail, and rise. Where discipline is forged. Where confidence is earned. And that messy stage? It’s not something to avoid. It’s something to honor.
So if you're in a season of life that feels chaotic or unclear—don't quit, don’t panic. You might just be in the construction phase, and what comes next could be better than you ever imagined.
